CHATSWORTH! CHRISTMAS!

Tuesday 14th November Day 115

CHATSWORTH! This was the annual visit with my friend. Such an amazing day. It’s always so inspiring. Anyone who knows me, knows I love Christmas and during covid I actually left my tree up until mid February because I thought, why not, it makes me happy and we cannot go anywhere! This year they had the advent theme in the house and it was wonderful. So much thought had gone into the display. My friend and I even came up with an idea for a romance novel based at Chatswoth ((OH, here we go! I think you’re taking this ‘choose a location for a book because you just want to visit it more often’ is going a bit too far!)) certainly not Brackets! What better location for a romance novel, we just need a Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett and we are good to go.

Anyway, it was a fab day and as a result I had a wordcount of zero again! Do not say anything Brackets! But I have made progress with ironing out some more key point and plots for the book so I’m looking forward to getting those few final characters arcs in place and then catching up with my wordcount when I’I get the chance.

After living in various parts of the UK, including Wakefield, York, Derby, and the Yorkshire Dales, I now live on a Narrowboat cruising the canal network. I’m part of a wonderful writing group based in Newark; The Fosseway Writers and have stories in various anthologies including; The Brinwade Chronicles, which is a collection of 28 Gothic stories by 13 writers. During my time exploring this wonderful part of the world I kept a journal and this became 187 Kilometres, turn left – which is a guide to our 43-day bucket list adventure. Available on Amazon. Current projects: SagaFiction: Mystery/thriller novel based in Jersey I’m very excited to start rewriting my psychological series, which will hopefully be published in 2024!
