Wednesday 17th January Day 179
OMG I’m so behind with blogging – It’s 26th January now. I’ve been ill off and on since we got back from Jersey. Probably picked up a lurgy travelling. ((Eye, eye me hearty!)) Ha, ha. Brackets is referring to the fact I also managed to get an eye infection, which meant soothing cotton patches had to be applied as in the morning, I couldn’t open my eye due to the gunk. ((Pirate peachy you’re so glamorous)) I know, it’s gross. Anyway, I’m going to attempt to catch up in between painting, napping and bathing my eye! As you will know if you normally read my blogs, I missed uploading the weekly blog as it was too painful to look at the screen.
Back to today and its cleaning day as the boat has been left alone for so long. Then it’s up to the marina office to pay for the coal they very kindly left on the boat for us and get some wash tokens. Of course it’s standard to meet someone in the office for a chat and who turns out knows Jersey very well and has family living over there. Chatting done it’s back to the boat and we manage to get the mains water switched on for half an hour to fill up before it’s switched off again as the temperatures are plummeting to about -6 or -7 in the next few days. I’m so over winter now, I want warm sunny days back.
I manage to get a little bit more writing done as the deadline is looming. ((Don’t go on about how sick you are of the book again Peachy else I will make you walk the plank… get it??)) haha. Right, that’s it for the day. ((Eye, eye Captain!)) Day done. x

After living in various parts of the UK, including Wakefield, York, Derby, and the Yorkshire Dales, I now live on a Narrowboat cruising the canal network. I enjoy reading, writing, travelling, walking, kayaking, watching all forms of motorbike racing and socialising (networking).
At the beginning of my writing journey, I started my blog which tracks the ups and downs of writing. ((I need to mention that my blog posts are usually visited by ‘Brackets’!))
