Sunday 14th April Day 267
As the weather is nice this morning we crack on with the painting and manage to get one half of the rails painted and then run out of filler and then the weather takes a turn so we back down and will crack on another day but it’s getting there. Still lots of rust spots and bit and bobs to sort. ((Well you’ve had a few compliments on the boat so you must be doing something right. Although people are more interested in you losing The Plot or being the half cut carrying company!))
In between cleaning and painting I crack on and get some more of the videos and vlogs sorted as I want to get ahead, as next week there is likely to be lots more locks coming up although hopefully not long cruising days.
That’s it for another week. Thanks so much to everyone who has commented or sent me messages about the blog ((Special thanks to Janice who told Peachy she had forgotten the letter c from ‘canal’ I did chuckle!)) it really does help to know people are enjoying the blogs and I’m not just talking to myself…
Until next week/ tomorrow as we do some more epic cruising when we sadly leave the Saltisford Arm and tackle many more locks! Oh i forgot to say the other day when we had that day cruising in the terrible weather – there ended up being a landslip behind us which mean’t it would have stopped us in our journey for a few days, so lucky we cranked it through the wind and rain! Day done. Week done. until next time…

Power of Nature
Published by C.L. Peache
After living in various parts of the UK, including Wakefield, York, Derby, and the Yorkshire Dales, I now live on a Narrowboat cruising the canal network. I enjoy reading, writing, travelling, walking, kayaking, watching all forms of motorbike racing and socialising (networking).
At the beginning of my writing journey, I started my blog which tracks the ups and downs of writing. ((I need to mention that my blog posts are usually visited by ‘Brackets’!))
To the books…
My fantasy series, Festival of Time was completed with the publication of Book Three: Battle in November 2022 and now joins, Book Two: Rescue, and Book One: Escape. Click ‘books’ on my website to find out more and follow me on social media for updates – I love chatting with readers and authors.
In 2021 I joined Saga Fiction and now have three stories published on their app; A Christmas Wish, Decisions, Decisions, and A night lost to the past. I’m part of a wonderful writing group based in Newark; The Fosseway Writers and have stories in various anthologies including; The Brinwade Chronicles, which is a collection of 28 Gothic stories by 13 writers. In February 2019 I was lucky enough to travel to New Zealand. During my time exploring this wonderful part of the world I kept a journal and this became 187 Kilometres, turn left – which is a guide to our 43-day bucket list adventure. Available on Amazon.
In December 2018; Game of Souls I published my first horror novella. Available on Amazon.
